I just received this trash can, and it does seem to be as nice as they say, but it is not true that "the slim profile hinge allows it to fit close against the wall," as the product description states. The hinge projects about an inch from the back, but to keep the top from banging the wall, or to be able to use the locked-open position, the can has to be another 3/4 inch further away from the wall.
